Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

In my capacity of Honorary Chairman of the Moscow International Petroleum Club (MIPC), one of authoritative centres for co-ordinating international co-operation in the oil and gas industry, a public consultative body for the R.F. Government for international projects in oil and gas, I have the honour to invite you to take part in the Second Russian Energy Summit, which will be particularly focused on the problems of investments into the oil and gas industry of Russia (The President Hotel, Moscow, 8th December 2000).

 

At this forum, which MIPC organizes in co-operation with the renowned British consulting company the CWC Group, alongside with all major Russian energy companies will take part, Governors and Heads of Administration of the oil and gas rich regions of Russia, the State of Duma deputies who are working on fundamental economic and tax legislation, particularly on PSA and foreign investment laws, representatives of the financial institutions, scholars and experts of the fuel and energy complex of Russia.

 

The Summit is expected to give special attention to examining the political and economic factors affecting the situation in the oil and gas industry of Russia, also ways of making this sector more attractive to investors.

 

We hope that the Energy Summit will lead to finding fresh ways to solving problems facing Russia’s oil and gas industry, will bring about expansion and strengthening of the mutually advantageous contacts between the executives of the oil and gas companies and the factories producing equipment for this industry, between Russian and foreign specialists.
